# Fold — website opportunity report

Fictional teaching answer. Audience: a visitor deciding whether Fold offers the alteration they need and how to request an appointment.

## Coverage

Evidence: the supplied [before-page.html](before-page.html), its linked `page.css`, and B1–B7 in [BRIEF.md](BRIEF.md). This report is based on source inspection. It does not claim a browser interaction test, external visit, analytics review, search audit, measured speed or accessibility certification. A missing fragment target is observable in the supplied source; its effect on a live site has not been tested.

## Preserve what works

The page already lists trouser shortening, skirt hems and zip replacements in `#services`, matching B3. It has a short reading path and a visible call to action. Retain these useful elements while correcting their surrounding claims and destination.

## Findings in suggested repair order

### A1. The opening promises unsupported services, price and timing

**Location/evidence:** `#opening h1` says “Every garment. Same day.” The opening paragraph says “Prices from €15.” B3 excludes leather and bridal alterations; B4 supplies neither a price nor a turnaround.

**Likely consequence:** a visitor could expect work, cost or timing the studio has not offered. This is an inference from the mismatch, not measured customer behavior.

**Priority/confidence:** first; high confidence because both the claims and their authoritative limits are explicit.

**Recommended change:** identify clothing alterations, list the three offered services, show the exclusions and explain that quotes follow seeing the garment. Remove the invented price and same-day promise.

**Check:** compare the opening and service sections with B1/B3/B4. Search the finished copy for remnants of “same day,” “€15” and “every garment.” A text search supplements reading; it does not replace checking meaning.

### A2. The page omits the location and appointment conditions

**Location/evidence:** the supplied opening, service section and footer do not mention Station Quarter or appointment-only visits. B2/B4 establish both.

**Likely consequence:** a visitor lacks information needed to judge whether they can use the studio and how to approach it.

**Priority/confidence:** second; high confidence for this complete supplied one-page source. A cropped screenshot alone would not establish that the whole page omits these facts.

**Recommended change:** put Station Quarter near the offer. Explain visits by appointment and the difference between a request and confirmation. Leave a street address unresolved; inventing one would not fix the missing input.

**Check:** read the opening and process together. Confirm they do not imply walk-in availability, a response deadline or an already reserved appointment.

### A3. The action promises instant booking and points to no target

**Location/evidence:** `#opening .action` says “Book instantly” with `href="#visit"`. The source contains no `id="visit"`. The header's “Details” link points to `#details`, which is also absent. B5 establishes a request, not a booking; B7 provides no receiver.

**Likely consequence:** the visible action gives the wrong expectation and the supplied page lacks the destination needed for that path.

**Priority/confidence:** third in the edit sequence, but still a delivery blocker for this local path; high confidence from the source. No real bookings or lost enquiries are inferred.

**Recommended change:** use “Prepare a request,” point it to an existing `#request` section, and explain what the visitor can prepare. Point the header to the existing `#services`. Label the teaching page's lack of a live receiver. A production receiving destination remains a separate unresolved input.

**Check:** in a browser, activate each repaired link and confirm the expected section is reached. Confirm no copy reports sending or booking. Those interactions are proposed checks here, not claimed executions by this report.

## Handoff

Correct source conflicts, add decision-relevant information, then repair and test the local action path. Replacement copy is in [PAGE-COPY.md](PAGE-COPY.md); implementation is a separate step. Open facts: actual studio address, contact destination, availability and any response policy. None needs to be invented to complete this fictional report and copy draft.
